    A message to our volunteers....

Thank you for your commitment to WSAE and serving on a committee this past year.  Many great achievements occurred including a growth in membership, dynamic programming, a successful golf outing and numerous opportunities for networking both in person and online.

As I mentioned in my president's address, this year we are focusing on executing our Promise to Members and that means many good changes are in store.  On January 23 and 24 the Board met to develop goals that we believe will help us achieve this.  There were an overwhelming number of thoughtful ideas that will truly take WSAE to a new level.  Just as it would be in your own organization, our next step is to further prioritize all of the new ideas, balance them with existing programs and services and determine what resources we have available to set a clear plan.  The Board will next meet on February 8 to bring us closer to that plan.

At this time we have determined that our existing committees are formally being discontinued.  There will be many opportunities to be engaged in the association as we move forward.  I hope that you will remain active and engaged with WSAE and when the call for volunteers comes out in the very near future, I hope you will consider one of the many opportunities that will be presented from within our five core competencies.

Again, thank you for serving and I hope to see you on February 8!
